We are excited to have ILAC pathway partner North Island College join us at CPF Vancouver! Located on Vancouver Island in beautiful British Columbia, North Island College is a public community college with superb teaching facilities and firm dedication to student success.
The college offers up to 1,000 courses and 80 programs in various fields, including resource trades, technology, engineering, culinary arts, business, tourism, and more. Indigenous education is one of the important programs of the college as the area consists of 13% Indigenous people.
North Island proudly serves more than 9,000 students annually at four campuses, a learning centre, and through online and in-community learning. NIC's international students study at three campuses on central Vancouver Island, which is a popular tourist destination with beaches, mountains, wilderness areas, and friendly communities.
Students can expect small classes of typically no more than 35 people, advising support, the latest in technology and web-based options, on-site library and bookstore, student recreation, and many clubs to get involved in the college and community.
International students who complete their studies at NIC can apply for a Post Graduation Work Permit (if an eligible course is completed), opening the door to excellent employment opportunities.
Language pathway programs are also available that can enable access to English-delivered academic courses upon completion.
